I'm a numbers guy but you wouldn't automatically deduce that from meeting me. I like people and have therefore honed an ability to build relationships and effectively communicate. In other words, I'm a "quant-guy" you could introduce to your parents! My education is liberal arts with a masters in finance. I started work as an analyst for a Wall Street firm during the roaring 90's. I left Wall Street at the very top and joined the treasury group at a Fortune 50 company with a crazy idea; bring mobile data to the United States. When that was accomplished and no longer a crazy idea, I went back to financial services (ironically right before the 2008 crash) as an advisor, investment banker, and portfolio manager. Along the way I developed a few cloud storage patents, sold a technology company co-founded during the technology bubble and assembled a team of the brightest most innovative financial, legal, and tax minds in the industry. I enjoy investing and actively working with entrepreneurs in technology, biotechnology and consumer product industries. I love spending time with my three daughters who continue to amaze and inspire me.

Michael has over thirty years of diverse experience in financial management ranging from evaluating money management strategies and private equity, asset management, guaranteed investment strategies, private equity strategies and portfolio design.
Michael has worked with Smith Barney as Senior Vice President of the Consulting Group, as Director of Alternative Products at Forward Private Investors and as a Senior Consultant to Broad River Asset Management, an institutional non-correlated fixed income management firm based in New York, among other advisory and entrepreneurial roles. In addition to his leadership role with Summit Family Office Services, Michael presently serves on the advisory board for Suncliff Brands and on the board of the Seattle Symphony.
